Spring is here, and we’re back on the maunga.

It’s trapping season again, and the BTW team are heading into our 7th year volunteering on Taranaki Maunga.

As part of the Taranaki Mounga Project, we’ll be monitoring 53 traps across an 8km track over the next 8 months. Every trap checked helps protect native species, contributes to ecological reporting for Taranaki and supports the return of kiwi to the Maunga.

With Conservation Week – Te Wiki o Te Taiao here, it’s a great reminder that every little action counts.

We’re proud to be doing our bit for a thriving, pest-free Aotearoa.
