Engineering – Your questions answered
Our civil, structural and geotechnical engineers collaborate with BTW surveyors, planners and environmental scientists giving clients a fully coordinated pathway from concept through to construction.

Three Waters
Geotechnical Engineering
As early as possible. Involving BTW at the feasibility or concept stage resolves geotechnical, servicing and access issues before design or consent, saving significant time and cost.
Common triggers include new dwellings, subdivisions, significant earthworks, retaining walls, slopes, and liquefaction-prone ground. Councils often require a geotechnical report from a qualified geotechnical engineer to support building consent.
Geotechnical Engineering
We coordinate technical inputs, prepare compliant designs and provide producer statements. Our local knowledge of regional standards ensures smoother approvals and fewer delays.
Three Waters refers to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. BTW’s civil engineers design and assess networks that safely manage these essential services. From new subdivisions to major infrastructure upgrades, we deliver integrated water solutions that protect communities and the environment.
