Subdivision and land development opportunities

  • April 5, 2020
  • Topic Uncategorized

As our country’s population grows and pressure on larger cities increases, the spread to regional New Zealand (particularly places surrounding or near to Auckland and Wellington) is having an impact. How we respond is vital. And doing nothing isn’t an option.

Working closely with Iwi, landowners, developers, councils and the wider community, BTW’s understanding of the complexities of subdivision projects and our commitment to delivering smart solutions is allowing for structured and sustainable growth for these regions.

This is evident in Waikato and Waipa districts, where BTW has recently been working on a number of land development projects, alongside other urban planning works to help these Districts shape and size up wisely for future growth.

The word ‘subdivision’ doesn’t need to incite fear. Done well it’s about opportunity.

One such project is Ultimate Global Group’s ‘River Road Estate’ near Ngaruawahia, Waikato, where BTW has provided Planning, Surveying, Engineering and Environmental Services.
We’ve consulted with local Iwi and worked closely with council to ensure that a future-focused, smart solution is achieved. It’s important to note that this project’s developer approached the project with forethought and a long-term commitment to the region. And, as such, the outcome contributes not only to their own economic success, but also to the community’s; protecting ecological, landscape and view-shaft features, providing jobs in the shorter-term, and sustainable housing solutions for the long-term.

Within our BTW teams, we have specialists dedicated to Subdivision and Land Development services. We can effectively lead you through the various processes involved in getting you off the starting block for civil and infrastructure development. This includes land identification and subdivision due diligence investigations, planning and consents, environmental impact assessments (including Heritage NZ and Iwi consultation), and all surveying and mapping aspects (including topographic surveys and drone aerial photography).

If you’re interested in exploring the many land development opportunities that are presenting themselves in growth areas like the Auckland-Hamilton corridor, and within Taranaki, then talk with BTW today.
