Today, we have announced that RSK Group Limited (RSK) expands New Zealand capability as BTW Company joins group.
RSK is acquiring BTW to establish a stronger New Zealand platform in water, environmental and geospatial services, strengthening project delivery and digital capabilities. RSK values how BTW operates and the work it does and recognises that BTW’s culture is well aligned with its own.
This acquisition will see BTW’s leadership team and employees, brand and business continuing as normal but moving to new ownership within a larger organisation that will support BTW’s continued growth, development and strong reputation. It supports the continued delivery of smart and sustainable solutions that our clients and local communities expect from us, while providing our clients access to a wider range of excellent technical and professional resources.
About RSK
RSK is a global leader in the delivery of environmental and engineering solutions, consisting of more than 200 businesses and employing more than 17,000 people. The group has its headquarters in Cheshire, UK, with an established presence in more than 40 countries around the world. It strives to provide end-to-end solutions to clients across a wide range of sectors, including energy, transportation and water, to name just a few, and has built its service offering around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
RSK draws on considerable expertise across their network, bringing vast experience and capability in the delivery of bespoke sustainable solutions.
RSK Group Chief Executive Officer Alan Ryder said: “BTW is a highly respected New Zealand consultancy with strong technical capability, trusted client relationships and a culture that closely aligns with RSK. Its strengths in water, infrastructure, environmental science, surveying and digital delivery make it a strong strategic fit as we build our Asia-Pacific platform and support clients facing increasingly complex environmental and infrastructure challenges.”
RSK Divisional and Board Director Steve Abbott said: “BTW gives RSK a stronger local presence in New Zealand, backed by deep regional knowledge and long-standing relationships across local government, infrastructure, land development and environmental markets. We see significant opportunity to support BTW’s continued growth while connecting clients to wider RSK capability where it adds value, particularly in water, digital asset insight and sustainable infrastructure delivery.”
The team at BTW are excited about this move that strengthens our ability to support larger, more complex and multidisciplinary projects across Aotearoa, while retaining BTW’s established local leadership, knowledge and client focus.
BTW will continue to build on the success we have had over our 50+ years to date, and with the support of our new parent company, unlock new opportunities for our clients, business and people. Rest assured, we will continue to deliver projects for you as normal and to the high level of service that is expected. We value our ongoing relationship and look forward to continuing our work together.
